Leeds United appear to be closing in on the German forward but things are dragging on.

According to German publication Hamburger Morgenpost, there is no issue regarding Pierre-Michel Lasogga’s proposed move to Leeds United and a deal should be concluded shortly.
Earlier today, German newspaper Bild claimed the striker’s current club Hamburg had made a mistake when it came to the formal paperwork, thus delaying an official announcement of the mooted loan move.

However, a spokesman from the Bundesliga club has now given the following statement to MoPo: “There is no breakdown. The deal will be completed during the day.”
Asserting that there had been no mistake regarding the initial paperwork, it seems there is simply a few I’s to dot and T’s to cross before Leeds announce what is expected to be their last deal of a very busy summer.
If Lasogga arrives at Elland Road he will be expected to lead the line for a club that has started the new Championship campaign in fine form.

A more than able striker when given sufficient game time, Lasogga will be hoping to benefit in front of the likes of Samu Saiz and Ezgjan Alioski, both of whom look like being the creative catalysts Leeds need to kick on this season.
If Hamburg are correct and a deal is expected imminently, the German will join fellow forward Pawel Cibicki in moving to Leeds on deadline day.
