The Macedonia international has been linked with a summer switch to Leeds United.

According to a report from Swiss website 4-4-2, Lugano are yet to receive any concrete, acceptable offers for Leeds United target Ezgjan Alioski.

It was reported last week that the Whites were planning a move for the Macedonian attacker, with Swiss newspaper Blick claiming the Championship side were ready to swoop for a player who would dramatically improve their squad ahead of the new campaign.

However, despite moving fast to get a deal over the line for Mateusz Klich, who completed his transfer to Elland Road on Friday, it seems Leeds have not been as quick to bid for Alioski.

That is no surprise given Leeds’ long-standing interest in their newest addition. However manager Thomas Christiansen will be keen to keep things moving by bidding for a player who found the net 17 times last season and provided 14 assists to boot.

With Atalanta also said to be interested in Alioski, his current club Lugano will know they do not need to accept the first offer that arrives, but Leeds will not want to miss out on the 25-year-old.

A firm offer is needed to set the ball rolling. The question is, are Leeds in the process of prioritising their summer targets – with Sport Huesca suggesting a £3million move for Samu Saiz is in the offing – or can the Whites’ hierarchy work on multiple deals simultaneously to ensure this summer is one to remember for all the right reasons to Elland Road.
