Everton are reportedly set to allow Nikola Vlasic to leave permanently, provided that they receive an eight-figure bid for the midfielder.
According to a report from the Liverpool Echo, Nikola Vlasic has now decided that he wants to leave Everton permanently this summer, but the Toffees will look to make a profit on the £10 million that they paid in 2017.
Vlasic has enjoyed a fantastic year away from Goodison Park, scoring five goals in the league and three in the Champions League for CSKA Moscow. He also contributed seven assists across the two competitions.
His form may have left some Everton fans wondering whether this summer may be the right time for Marco Silva to hand the 21-year-old a fresh chance. But it appears that Vlasic has other ideas.
The Liverpool Echo reports that CSKA want to keep the midfielder, while Besiktas are said to be amongst a host of teams also interested in taking him away from Merseyside.
And Vlasic has reportedly decided that he wishes to move on on a permanent basis. Everton are not exactly looking to stand in his way, but the Liverpool Echo reports that they want more than £10 million for the Croatian.
The report notes that both Besiktas and CSKA would need to break their transfer record to meet Everton’s demands, making a permanent move seem slightly less likely.
Perhaps that may prove to be a blessing for those who want to see Vlasic get a chance to impress for Silva’s side. It looks unlikely given the reports, but perhaps his situation could change if he finds himself available to the Everton boss in pre-season and beyond.
