OwnGoalNigeria has reported that Rangers will unveil Balogun in the coming days, and that the transfer will be made official before the end of this week.
Balogun has not addressed speculation linking him with a move to Rangers this summer, but the defender has said on Twitter that there will be news soon on his future.
Stats
According to WhoScored, Balogun made 10 starts and one substitute appearance in the Championship for Wigan during his loan spell this season.
Good signing for Rangers?
With Nikola Katic injured at the moment, as reported by The Daily Record, Rangers do need cover at the back.
Balogun has not had the best of times at Brighton, but the Nigerian is a very good and experienced defender and will make Rangers better at the back.
