According to The Guardian, Leeds United have held discussions over a deal for Stuttgart striker Nicolas Gonzalez.
It’s believed that Gonzalez is interested in a move to Elland Road, but he hasn’t yet visited their Thorp Arch training ground.
Gonzalez will allegedly cost around £15million, but Leeds face another problem; Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion also want him.
The 22-year-old is interested in Brighton too, meaning the two sides will go head-to-head for Gonzalez as the battle for Ben White’s services goes on.
Gonzalez hit 14 goals and three assists in 27 league games for Stuttgart last season, helping them win promotion to the Bundesliga.
Now, the former Argentinos Juniors man could be heading to England, and Marcelo Bielsa will surely be familiar with his compatriot.

Gonzalez is quick and skilful, whilst he is able to play up front or out wide, providing Leeds with great versatility if they can sign him.
At £15million, Gonzalez would be a hefty investment for Leeds, but he has real talent and potential, which is what Leeds are looking for after returning to the top flight.
Gonzalez makes much more sense than some other strikers linked with Leeds, but Brighton pose a real threat to their hopes.
