The 24-year-old’s Ibrox exit was confirmed this week.
Nicky Clark scores for Rangers
Released Rangers striker Nicky Clark could be set for a move to Barnsley, according to the BBC Sport Gossip Column, which cites the Daily Record.
The 24-year-old, son of former Gers striker Sandy, was one of three casualties announced by Mark Warburton’s side this week.
Signed from Queen of the South in 2013, Clark played his part in two promotions at Ibrox, and leaves having restored the Light Blues back to the top flight.
With 24 goals and 14 assists in 110 appearances for Rangers, the Belshill native shouldn’t be short of suitors.

However, a move to Barnsley is likely to appeal, especially if the Tykes are promoted to the Championship this weekend.
Paul Heckingbottom’s side face Millwall in the final of the League One play-offs and will no doubt be looking for reinforcements if they are successful at Wembley.

Strikers Ashley Fletcher and Ivan Toney are set to return to their parent clubs this summer and Clark, who was initially linked with the South Yorkshire side in January, could be in line to replace them.
