Glasgow Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is being linked with a move away from Ibrox.

Morelos’ future has seemingly been the subject of speculation since he arrived at Ibrox in 2017. He has been a superb signing for the Gers, scoring 38 goals in all competitions, including 20 since Steven Gerrard’s arrival in the summer.
But one of Gerrard’s great rivals from his playing days now appears to be an admirer of the Colombian and is keen to sign the striker this month.

However, the Record adds that Morelos has no desire to leave Ibrox, so it would appear that Rangers have every chance of keeping their talisman beyond the end of the window.
Rangers are now in a position where they could potentially cope with losing Morelos. Jermain Defoe has joined on an 18-month loan, and that would enable the Gers to avoid making a rash decision on how to invest the £8 million.
But keeping Morelos in the ranks is clearly the best option for the Scottish Premiership side with a title challenge potentially on the cards. Even with £8 million in the transfer kitty – which should arguably nowhere near enough to tempt him away – there is no guarantee that they would get his replacement right.
