Scottish Premiership powerhouses Rangers will not let Morelos move to Ligue 1 – but will Bournemouth’s Premier League benchwarmer Lys Mousset join?

Rangers could be about to bat away interest from Nice for star striker Alfredo Morelos, according to Maxifoot, with the Ligue 1 outfit being put off by the demands of the Scottish Premiership powerhouses.
The Daily Record reported on Tuesday that Nice were planning to make an £8 million bid for the Colombian frontman, who they see as the ideal replacement for the Marseille-bound Mario Balotelli.
But Rangers manager Steven Gerrard made it clear that the Glasgow club had no interest in selling Morelos for that price, claiming that the 22-goal frontman is worth closer to £16 million (Record).
And, according to Maxifoot, Nice are not likely to meet Rangers’ eight-figure price-tag with the club’s Chinese owners unwilling to invest big fees in the transfer market.

This lack of investment has seemingly left president Jean-Pierre Rivere frustrated and he is expected to leave the club in the near future.
Maxifoot adds that Nice have identified a number of potential alternatives to Morelos, including former fans’ favourite Valere Germain. The hard-working Marseille front man spent the 2015/16 season at Nice, scoring 14 Ligue 1 goals.
Bournemouth benchwarmer Lys Mousset is another name on their radar.
