Nice are keeping tabs on the Southampton winger.

According to a report from the Mirror, Ligue 1 outfit Nice are lining up a swoop for Southampton winger Sofiane Boufal, following a furious bust-up between the Moroccan and his manager Mark Hughes.
The 24-year-old joined the Saints from Lille in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £16 million, but he has so far failed to live up to high expectations on the south coast.

Boufal has chalked up just four goals and three assists in 59 appearances in all competitions for Southampton, and following his falling out with Hughes, his days at St Mary’s seem to be numbered.

The Mirror claim that Nice are keen to bring the Morocco international back to France, although it is unclear as to whether they possess the financial muscle to tempt Southampton into selling.
Much will obviously depend on what division the Saints are playing in next season, and with Boufal currently one of Southampton’s highest earners on £60,000 per week according to the Sun, it would be not surprise to see him sacrificed in the summer.
