A player for whom Wolverhampton Wanderers are ‘trying to close a deal’ as Diogo Jota’s replacement would be happily welcomed by Neymar at Paris Saint-Germain, according to Calciomercato.
Tuttosport claimed earlier this week that the Juventus winger Douglas Costa was moving ‘closer’ to England, thanks to the help of the agent Jorge Mendes.
But the newspaper warned that Wolves face competition from Manchester United for Costa’s signature.
And United, it seems, are not the only ones threatening to derail Wolves’ alleged pursuit.
Both PSG and Barcelona are also listed by Calciomercato as potential destinations for the Brazilian.
The newspaper even suggests that swap deals involving Julain Draxler of PSG, or Ousmane Dembele of Barca, are also possible.

Juventus are reported to have paid Bayern Munich €40 million (£36.5m) for Costa two years ago, in which time the 30-year-old has scored or assisted 31 goals in 102 games.
Wolves have already signed a number of Mendes clients this summer, including Vitor Ferreira and Nelson Semedo.
