Achraf Lazaar is again being linked with a move away from Newcastle.

According to Secolo XIX, Genoa are considering a new move to try and sign Newcastle United outcast Achraf Lazaar in January.
Lazaar, 26, impressed for Palermo in Italy, and his performances prompted Newcastle to sign him for just £2million in 2016, as reported by Sky Sports.
The Moroccan international could have been an exciting signing for Newcastle, but has barely been given a chance by the man who signed him; Rafael Benitez.
Lazaar has made just 10 appearances for Newcastle, and spent part of last season out on loan at Benevento back in Italy before being sent back to the Magpies.
Many expected him to move on this summer, but no move materialised, and he has been left to sit on the sidelines at Newcastle with next to no chance of first-team football under Benitez.
In fact, Lazaar even told Calciomercato earlier this week that Benitez doesn’t even speak to him, and whilst he is working as hard as he possibly can, theres just nothing he can do to convince Benitez, as he criticised the situation under the Spaniard.

Now, Secolo XIX report that Genoa – a club who were keen on Lazaar over the summer – are now weighing up a new move to try and sign him in January.
A left back is their priority according to the report, and with no future at Newcastle, a deal is surely best for all parties when the transfer window re-opens.
