Stanley N’Soki might not be joining Newcastle United after all.
It looks like Newcastle United might’ve shot themselves in the foot……..again.
The Magpies looked to be closing in on the signing of Paris Saint-Germain defender Stanley N’Soki.
Newcastle had a £10 million bid accepted by the Ligue 1 champions and everything seemed fine, until now.
According to Get Football News France, the move is now off after negotiations over personal terms reached ‘breaking point’.
The report adds that a ‘series of low-ball wage offers’ have put off the 20-year-old’s representatives and that the Premier League side will have to dramatically raise their salary offer if a deal is to be done.
At this stage, Newcastle can’t really afford not to get this over the line.
There is only five days left in the summer transfer window, and Joelinton and Allan Saint-Maximin are Steve Bruce’s only permanent signings so far.
N’Soki is a player that United need and although fans are delighted with their two arrivals, they’ll be very annoyed if something like personal terms scuppers the move for the PSG ace.
