According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle United want to sign Levante playmaker Enis Bardhi during the January transfer window.
It’s claimed that Newcastle want to sign a new box-to-box midfielder during the January window, with a couple of targets in mind.
One of them is Lille star Boubakary Soumare, who rejected a move to Newcastle in January of this year in order to stay in France.
Another target is Levante ace Bardhi, who has starred in Spain since signing from Hungarian side Ujpest back in 2017.
A North Macedonia international, Bardhi has bagged 19 goals and 11 assists in 108 games for Levante, as well as five goals in 31 North Macedonia caps.
The 25-year-old is a devastating free kick taker and very dangerous from long range, playing mostly as a central midfielder or in from the left flank.

Bardhi would provide Newcastle with real creativity and goal threat from range, but Levante won’t be keen to sell, especially in the middle of the season.
Still, he’s an exciting target for Newcastle, and he was even compared to David Beckham by AS in 2017 having been such a superb set-piece taker.
