Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United are interested in signing Harrison Ashby from Premier League rivals West Ham United in the January transfer window, according to The Daily Mail.
Newcastle retain interest in West Ham’s Harrison Ashby
The report has claimed that Newcastle wanted to sign the youngster from West Ham in the summer transfer window.
The Magpies tried extremely hard to secure the services of the 20-year-old right-back on deadline day, but they could not get a deal done.
Newcastle, though, have not given up on signing Ashby and retain an interest in him.

Could a transfer happen?
In our view, if Newcastle United are really keen on Harrison Ashby, then they could be able to convince him to leave West Ham United for St. James’ Park.
The 20-year-old has not played in the Premier League for the Hammers this season and has made one substitute appearance in the UEFA Conference League.
Now, of course, at Newcastle, Kieran Trippier is the number one right-back, but the Magpies are a club on the up and could end up in the Premier League top four this season.
Leaving West Ham for Newcastle could be appealing to Ashby.
