According to The Sun, Newcastle United are interested in bringing Brentford striker Ivan Toney back to the club this summer.
It’s claimed that there is a major battle going on for Toney’s signature, with West Ham United and Leicester City also interested.
Newcastle are in the mix too though, but Brentford are demanding a huge fee of around £25million for their goal machine striker.
Toney, 24, has smashed 24 goals and nine assists in just 30 games for Brentford this season having arrived from Peterborough United last summer.
Toney has been lethal in front of goal, whilst his pace, strength, movement and aerial ability have all terrorised Championship defenders.
He would certainly be an exciting addition to the Newcastle attack alongside Callum Wilson, but a £25mllion deal wouldn’t exactly be the best look for the Magpies.

Newcastle sold Toney for just £650,000 in 2018, taking a £400,000 profit without really giving him a chance in the first team.
They may now have to pay a staggering eight-figure fee to bring Toney back to St James’ Park, whilst beating Leicester and West Ham won’t be easy.
