Newcastle United scouts have given glowing reports on Facundo Pellistri, who has shone for Penarol this season, according to the Daily Mail.

The 18-year-old is still making a name for himself, but Newcastle’s scouting team out in South America have told the club to bring him in.

Pellestri is a winger, who possesses a lot of skill and pace, and could be available for just £10 million.

Newcastle currently have found their chances of signing the youngster reduced due to the takeover though.

Newcastle have been unable to make progress with the deal, as they don’t currently have an owner prepared to finance the transfer.

Newcastle apparently want to speak to Pellestri and his family to convince them a move to St. James’ Park would be beneficial, but any talks have been put hold until the takeover is completed.

Newcastle are still waiting for their new owners to be officially confirmed by the Premier League, but there is hope that the deal will go through sooner rather than later.
