Liverpool winger Harry Wilson is reportedly wanted at Newcastle United.
According to Sky Sports, Newcastle United have entered the race to sign Liverpool winger Harry Wilson, who is valued at around £25million.
The Magpies are still trying to secure Rafael Benitez’s future, and transfer moves will be delayed until they know whether or not the Spaniard is staying put.
Another winger may be on Benitez’s radar though, as especially as Kenedy’s second spell with the club was a flop, and he’s not returning from Chelsea.
Now, Sky Sports report that Newcastle have joined the battle for Liverpool winger Harry Wilson’s signature, but will face a major battle for his services.
Brighton, Crystal Palace and Southampton are also thought to be interested, whilst Derby County hope to keep him after a superb loan spell, with Augsburg, Hertha Berlin, Eintracht Frankfurt and Spanish clubs in the mix.
That’s a lengthy list of suitors for Wilson, and Liverpool are thought to be demanding £25million for the Welshman, though he could go out on loan again.
That may suit Newcastle a little better, with money tight at St James’ Park, but Wilson could be a superb addition to Benitez’s side after starring at Derby.
Wilson, 22, hit 18 goals for Derby this season, with his long-range shooting and dead ball ability really catching the eye, and he could help form a dangerous attack with Miguel Almiron and Ayoze Perez.
