According to Jeunes Footeux, Newcastle and West Ham are interested in signing FC Copenhagen forward Jonas Wind.
What’s the story?
Well, the 22-year-old has made a fine start to the season with eight goals and five assists in 18 games.
As a result, West Ham have continued to track the 12-cap Denmark international, who they also tried to sign in the summer.
Newcastle’s interest, however, is new, and comes after Mike Ashley was dislodged by Amanda Staveley and the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia.
It seems the Magpies and their newfound wealth will be a serious competitor to West Ham in this transfer battle.
Wind also performed impressively last season, scoring 17 goals in 32 appearances, while also providing eight assists.
Clearly, the Dane can create goals as well as score them.

Jeunes Footeux believe FC Copenhagen will not sell their No.23 for anything less than €20m (£16.9m).
What can Jonas Wind offer Newcastle or West Ham?
As good as Wind has been, his profile hasn’t risen to that of a household name yet, so you may not know much about him.
If that is the case, a comparison might help.

Breaking The Lines compared him to Erling Braut Håland and Alexander Isak, two other Scandinavian forwards impressing across Europe.
Wind is also likened to ex-Manchester City striker Edin Džeko by Breaking The Lines, who provide a detailed scouting report on the forward.
By the looks of it, Wind is a fine striker, one who is only going to get better aged just 22.
