Newcastle United are reportedly hoping to land Dominick Drexler.

According to Transfermarkt, Newcastle United are interested in signing Koln winger Dominick Drexler – but a mystery Premier League club is also keen.
The Magpies are set to enter a huge summer given the questions over Rafael Benitez’s future, and he will want significant backing in the transfer market.
Another winger may be on the radar, as Kenedy is set to return to Chelsea, whilst the futures of Matt Ritchie and Jacob Murphy are somewhat unclear.
Now, Transfermarkt claim that Newcastle are looking to lure Drexler away from Koln, but face competition from a Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Even a mystery Premier League are in the race, meaning the Magpies could yet see the German turning out for a top-flight rival next season.

Drexler, 28, has been in stunning form for Koln this season, notching 11 goals and 20 assists in all competitions, so it’s no surprise that he’s attracting interest.
With Koln set to return to the Bundesliga, he may not be easy to lure away this summer, but Newcastle may hope that a Premier League switch can turn his head.
