Rafael Benitez is set to consign Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons to a reserve role if he does stick around at St. James’ Park.

Aarons was set to leave Newcastle to join a Bulgarian side on loan, but that move fell through at the last minute.
The winger now faces a difficult few months at Newcastle, if he does indeed stay.
There are a few transfer windows in Europe which are still open, but it looks unlikely that Aarons will get the move that he badly needs.
The tricky attacker is almost certain to only get game time for Newcastle’s under-23 side, if he sticks around at St. James’ Park.

Newcastle have options out wide, and Aarons seems to be a long way down the pecking order for Rafael Benitez’s side.
Newcastle are currently in 18th place in the Premier League table, after what has been a disappointing start to the new campaign.
