Newcastle United striker Dwight Gayle is wanted by both West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City this summer.

Slaven Bilic’s arrival at the Hawthorns has led to West Brom re-igniting their interest in the Newcastle forward, who was their top scorer during a loan spell last season.
However, Stoke are also interested in Gayle, and reportedly are in a better position to land the Newcastle man.
The Magpies think that they can demand £20 million for Gayle, and that fee could be too expensive for West Brom.
Stoke are set to sell Jack Butland though, and the £30 million they get for the stopper could be used to fund a move for Gayle.
Newcastle are reportedly set to sell Gayle regardless of whether Rafael Benitez stays or goes.

The decision may not be a surprise, as Gayle hasn’t quite cut it at the top level.
However, Newcastle’s options up-front look short at the moment, as Salomon Rondon’s loan has ended and he has returned to West Brom.
If Stoke or West Brom can land Gayle this summer then his arrival would be a major boost to their promotion chances, as the striker is such a prolific scorer at Championship level.
