Newcastle United midfielder Mikel Merino is reportedly wanted by Athletic Bilbao in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Spanish club Athletic Bilbao are interested in signing Merino from Premier League side Newcastle in the summer transfer window.
Merino joined Newcastle on loan from German outfit Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2017 and made the move permanent in October 2017 for a transfer fee reported by The Chronicle to be worth £8m.

Sell or keep?
If Newcastle owner Ashley wants £10m for Merino, then it would make the Magpies a profit of just £2m.
Perhaps it would be better for the Premier League club if they keep hold of the 21-year-old midfielder and give him another chance.

Merino started the 2017-18 campaign well, but he could not manage to maintain the form throughout the season and has also had injury concerns.
The former Osasuna star is very talented and is only 21 years of age, and Newcastle should give him another chance to prove himself in the Premier League.
