Brighton and Hove Albion reportedly want Isaac Hayden of Newcastle United.
It has been reported that Hayden has handed in a transfer request at Newcastle and wants to leave due to family reasons.
The Magpies, though, are unwilling to sell the 23-year-old defensive midfielder, according to Sky Sports, with The Chronicle claiming that Brighton and Hove Albion are prepared to pay £10 million for the former England Under-21 international this summer.
Departure inevitable?
Newcastle may be unwilling to sell Hayden, according to Sky Sports, but with the former Arsenal prospect having reportedly handed in a transfer request, it is almost inevitable that the defensive midfielder will leave.
It would make sense for Rafael Benitez’s side to start looking for a suitable replacement for Hayden – who earns £22,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – and it would be wise of the Magpies to take up the reported offer from Brighton.
