Newcastle United are among the clubs reportedly interested in Hull City defender Harry Maguire in the summer transfer window.

Newcastle United are set to be offered the chance to sign Harry Maguire from Hull City in the summer transfer window, according to The Chronicle.
Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Liverpool are also interested in the 24-year-old defender, according to the report.

Good signing?
Hull may have been relegated from the Premier League and will play in the Championship next season, but Maguire’s performances have been quite impressive.
The defender has made 25 starts in the league for the Tigers this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists in the process.
| Passing Accuracy | Tackles Won | Interceptions Won | Ball Recovery | Headers Won | Outfielder Blocks | Effective Clearances | Appearances | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Harry Maguire | 76% | 39 | 63 | 148 | 69 | 27 | 141 | 29 | 2,307 |
According to a report in The Sun back in March, Newcastle were eyeing a £12 million deal for Maguire.
Given that the Tigers have been relegated, the Magpies could get the defender on a lower fee, but even if they have to pay £12m for the former Sheffield United man, it would be money well spend.
Newcastle will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship.
