Newcastle United were originally linked with a move for Jayden Bogle of Derby County in the summer.

Newcastle were linked with a move for Bogle in the summer, but they didn’t push for a deal.
It seems that Steve Bruce’s side have decided to have another season watching Bogle’s progress at Derby.
The Magpies will not have seen much of the teenaged defender so far this campaign, as he has been out with injury.
But Newcastle are said to retain an interest in the full-back, who could be a smart addition to their side.
Bogle is already regarded as one of the best players in his position in the Championship, with his attacking talents making him an exciting talent.
It was under Frank Lampard where Bogle really emerged as a talent at Pride Park, and the former Rams’ boss’s comments on £10 million-rated (Daily Mail) full-back show how highly he is rated.
“When I came in pre-season and I saw him, I thought ‘wow, this kid can play’. He has come in and played like he has been playing for years, that is not always the norm,” Lampard said to the Derby Telegraph.

“He’s been fearless about how he’s taken it on, he’s been consistent in his performance, he’s become very much a man in the eight or nine months I’ve been here. And there’s loads more to come. Jayden Bogle, to have a season like he’s had at 18, means that he’s going to have a really top career.”
Newcastle do already have options in the form of DeAndre Yedlin and Emil Krafth at right-back, but Bogle would push them both for a starting place.
Bogle is expected to return from injury shortly, which should allow Newcastle to continue to track his progress.
