Newcastle United are due to take on Leicester City at the weekend, and Steve Bruce’s side have had some positive injury news.

Newcastle striker Dwight Gayle is finally set to return to training this week, as he looks to make his first appearance of the season, while Sean Longstaff has also recovered from injury.
Gayle has not played at all this season, with the Magpies striker struggling to make it off the treatment table.
Steve Bruce has suggested that he will use Gayle when he is fit, and it seems that the Newcastle forward will finally be able to prove his worth in training soon.
If Gayle can score with half as much regularity for Newcastle as he did in the Championship last season with West Bromwich Albion it would be a major boost, as Bruce’s men have looked fairly toothless so far this campaign.
Longstaff, meanwhile, is one of Newcastle’s finest midfielders and his return is a huge positive.
Longstaff is likely to replace Jonjo Shelvey in Newcastle’s starting line-up, if the can prove his fitness in the build up to the match.

That should aid the Magpies’ chances of picking up a result at Leicester City, although their task still looks to be very tough.
Leicester have started the season in fine form, and even a draw would represent a positive return for Newcastle.
