It has been reported that Newcastle are ready to listen to offers for Almiron, whose agent has already offered him to prospective clubs.
The 26-year-old wanted to leave the Magpies in the summer of 2020, and Newcastle are now ready to sell him and will accept £20 million, the fee they paid to sign the attacking midfielder from Atlanta United in January 2019, according to the report.
Miguel Almiron’s Newcastle United spell
Newcastle paid Atlanta £20 million to sign Almiron in January 2019, according to BBC Sport.
The attacking midfielder arrived at St. James’ Park with a strong reputation, but he has not been able to make a huge impact on a consistent basis.
According to WhoScored, the 26-year-old made 35 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Newcastle last season, scoring four goals and providing two assists in the process.
So far this season, Almiron has provided one assist in seven Premier League games for Steve Bruce’s side, according to WhoScored.
Newcastle are 13th in the Premier League table at the moment with 11 points from eight matches.
