Newcastle United are keen to bring Manchester City’s Fernando to St. James’ Park.

According to a report in The Sun, Manchester City midfielder Fernando is available for £10 million this summer – with Newcastle United prepared to make a bid.
Fernando has been put up for sale for City, as Pep Guardiola’s shake-up at the Etihad Stadium continues.
City have already been busy in the transfer market, with their spending expected to reach unprecedented levels this summer.

And, as a result, a number of the Citizens’ fringe players are being made available.
Fernando is one of the players who has been put up for sale, and Rafael Benitez is keen to bring him to St. James’ Park.
Newcastle are now said to be readying a bid for Fernando, who they feel they can bring to Tyneside.

Fernando made 27 appearances for City across all competitions this past season.
If the Brazilian moves to Newcastle, he will be in competition with the likes of Isaac Hayden and Jonjo Shelvey for a first-team place.
