Newcastle United will listen to offers for Grant Hanley and Daryl Murphy, according to The Sunday People (print edition, page 51, May 14, 2017).

Defender Hanley, who is 25 years of age, joined Newcastle from Blackburn Rovers in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Sunday People (print edition, page 51, May 14, 2017) to be worth £5 million.

Murphy, who is 34 years of age and can operate as a striker or as a winger, moved to the Magpies from Ipswich Town in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Sunday People (print edition, page 51, May 14, 2017) to be worth £3m.

According to The Sunday People (print edition, page 51, May 14, 2017), both Hanley and Murphy can leave Newcastle if the Magpies receive decent money.

Good decision?

Hanley and Murphy are good players in the Championship, but for Newcastle to succeed in the Premier League next season they need better and younger players.

It would not be a bad idea for the Magpies to part company with the defender and the attacker if they get around £5m combined for the duo.
