Newcastle United are now being offered the chance to sign Joao Felix this summer after Chelsea backed away from him.
Chelsea won’t be signing Joao Felix permanently this summer and the Atletico Madrid ace is now being offered to Newcastle United.
That is according to the Daily Mail, who claim that Felix will not be staying at Stamford Bridge as a permanent move has been kiboshed.
New Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has decided that he doesn’t want Felix at Chelsea, so he is heading back to Atletico.
Diego Simeone’s men want to offload Felix and the attacker is now in a tricky situation having wanted to stay at Chelsea.
There are few takers for a permanent deal but Felix could move out on loan once again.
Newcastle are being offered the possibility of taking Felix for the 2023-24 season, with Paris Saint-German given the same chance.
Felix earns around £200,000-a-week with Atletico, which Chelsea covered in full as well as paying a £9million loan fee for half a season.
Newcastle may not like those numbers but they may at least consider Felix as they prepare for the Champions League.

Joao Felix is failing to live up to the hype
There has been enormous hype surrounding Felix for years now.
Atletico forked out an eye-watering £113million to sign Felix from Benfica back in the summer of 2019.
Felix was just 19 at the time but had smashed 20 goals in 43 Benfica games.
Many were tipping Felix as a future superstar but four years on from that move, he has been a disappointment.
34 goals in 131 outings for Atletico isn’t terrible but certainly isn’t what the Madrid side thought they were buying.
Chelsea were next to try their luck but four goals in 16 games didn’t exactly set pulses racing at Stamford Bridge.
Now 23, the wonderkid tag has gone and Felix needs to start performing right now.
This just doesn’t seem like a move Eddie Howe would back, and we can’t really see Felix in the famous black and white stripes next season.
