Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez looks set to only have a limited budget to spend next month.

According to the Chronicle, Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez is already changing his plans for January.

Newcastle had been looking at making additions in January, but it seems unlikely that Benitez will be given many funds to spend.

With Mike Ashley in the process of selling the club, it is expected that Newcastle’s transfer budget could be limited once again.

And Benitez is now plotting to make loan signings next month rather than permanent ones.

Newcastle have been linked with Miguel Almiron recently, but that deal now looks very unlikely, as it would have been costly.

And it could be that Benitez is forced to utilise the loan market once again, as he looks to keep Newcastle in the Premier League.

Newcastle did well with temporary moves last year, with Kenedy and Martin Dubravka both coming in and helping the side stay up.

And if Newcastle do have to turn to the loan market again, Benitez will be hoping any new additions he does make can have similar impacts.
