Newcastle United lost the battle with Everton for Sandro Ramirez, as they refused to pay the Spaniard’s wage demands.
Newcastle were interested in the Spaniard, who was available for just £5.2 million from Malaga, due to a clause in his contract.
However, the Magpies refused to pay Sandro’s wage demands, with the youngster wanting £120,000-a-week.
Newcastle have struggled in the transfer market to date, and the Chronicle claim that the Tynesiders are refusing to pay more than £70,000-a-week to any new addition.

Sandro, ultimately, ended up signing for Everton and he has made a bright start for the Toffees.
Although Sandro is yet to score for Ronald Koeman’s side, his pace and energy has proven to be a big hit at Goodison Park.
Everton won their first match of the season 1-0 against Stoke City, while Newcastle lost 2-0 against Tottenham Hotspur.
