Newcastle United midfielder Jack Colback appears to have no future in the first-team at St. James’ Park.

Colback is on a hefty salary at St. James’ Park, and Newcastle are finding it difficult to offload him on a permanent transfer.
Instead, they may be forced to pay some of Colback’s wages to get him off their books.

Newcastle could sanction a loan deal, as at the moment neither party are winning, by keeping Colback at St. James’ Park.
Colback has not even been registered for the Magpies’ Premier League squad, so he cannot feature this term.

Newcastle are likely to find a whole host of clubs who are willing to loan Colback, if they do decide to make him available until the end of the season.
Although Colback has made little impact at Newcastle of late, he has proven to be a solid option in the second tier, and may have to take the step down to receive regular first-team football again.
