Newcastle are set to sign Scott from Chelsea, and they are pushing ahead with the deal, despite the managerial uncertainty around St. James’ Park.

Newcastle’s transfer moves have generally put on hold, while Rafael Benitez’s future is sorted.

Benitez has just weeks left on his contract at Newcastle, and he still hasn’t penned a new deal.
