Karl Darlow is set to leave Newcastle United, with Rafael Benitez having doubts over the goalkeeper.

According to a report in the Northern Echo, Newcastle United goalkeeper Karl Darlow is likely to leave St. James’ Park this summer.
Darlow was Newcastle’s first choice stopper, as they earned promotion from the Championship last season.
However, Rafael Benitez is believed to still have some doubts over the 26-year-old.

Benitez does not want to go into the campaign in the Premier League, with Darlow as his first choice once again.
And, as a result, Newcastle are said to be prepared to offload the former Nottingham Forest man.

Benitez is keen to bring in a new stopper, meaning Darlow’s chances are set to be limited.
And, with Rob Elliot set to stay on as Newcastle’s number two, there seems to be no place for Darlow.
Newcastle are unlikely to struggle to find a buyer for Darlow, as he has proven to be an excellent keeper at Championship level.
