Newcastle United are keen on signing Hull City ace Kamil Grosicki, report the Hull Daily Mail.

Grosicki impressed for the Tigers in their failed battle against relegation after signing from Rennes in January.

His performances earned him the April Premier League Player of the Month award.

Grosicki registered three assists, coming in victories he inspired the team to against West Ham and Middlesbrough.

The good news for Newcastle is that Polish outlet Sportowefakty report Grosicki has a release clause in his contract which would come into play if Hull were relegated, despite committing to a three-and-a-half year deal.

The winger is a Poland international who featured at Euro 2016 and has more than 40 international caps.

The 28-year-old certainly showed he was good enough to play in the Premier League during his short stint with Hull and is unlikely to be short of offers.

One club who could battle Newcastle for his signature is Watford, who appointed Marco Silva as manager over the weekend.

Silva was appointed Hull boss in January before quitting after they were relegated, and signed Grosicki.

Newcastle recently signed winger Christian Atsu from Chelsea on a permanent basis after a successful loan spell.
