Newcastle join hunt for available Palace defender.

Riedewald recently turned down a move to Championship side Swansea City and is holding out for a Premier League move.
The versatile star is out of favour at Crystal Palace, having been signed by former boss Frank de Boer.

He struggled early on at Palace, but impressed in the second half of the season in a defensive midfield role.
Riedewald’s season was also hampered by injury, and Palace could be willing to let him leave at the right price.
Still only 21-years-old, the former Ajax talent has a lot of potential and a fresh start could be what he needs.
At Newcastle he would have to fight for a place rather than coming in to be first choice, but he would add depth to a squad which has been criticised for lacking in options.
