Newcastle United have joined a list of clubs chasing Manchester City stopper Joe Hart.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Newcastle United have joined the race for Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.

Hart is expected to leave City in the summer, when his loan move at Torino comes to an end.

City boss Pep Guardiola has opted to replace Hart with Claudio Bravo as City’s number one, in a controversial move.

And it seems that Hart will be allowed to leave City in the summer, with a number of clubs interested in taking the England international.

The Mail suggest that Everton, Chelsea and West Ham are all monitoring the situation, but Newcastle are also interested.

No transfer can take place until the summer transfer window, but plenty of teams are making plans to sign Hart.

In all likelihood, Newcastle would have to be promoted to have any chance of signing Hart – but Rafael Benitez is interested.

If Hart was to move to Newcastle, he would be in competition with the likes of Rob Elliot and Karl Darlow for a first-team place.
