Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez reportedly could bring Milan Badelj to St. James’ Park.

According to the Daily Mirror, Newcastle United are interested in signing Milan Badelj on a free transfer.
Badelj is currently looking for a new club, following the expiration of his contract at Fiorentina, and Newcastle are reportedly an option.
Rafael Benitez’s side have been alerted to his availability, with Newcastle now weighing up making a move.
Badelj has been in Russia all summer at the World Cup, and helped his Croatian side to the final of the tournament.
Badelj is a defensive-minded midfielder, and would offer help to tighten up Newcastle’s midfield.
With Mikel Merino departing, Benitez could be on the lookout for more additions in central midfield, although he has already brought in Ki Sung-Yeung.

Newcastle have had a shop around for bargains, and Badelj’s availability on a free could make him an appealing option for the Magpies.
If Badelj was to arrive at Newcastle, he would become their fourth signing of the summer.
