Sparta Prague winger Ladislav Krejci is reportedly being targeted by Premier League outfit Newcastle United.
Newcastle United are interested in signing Ladislav Krejci from Sparta Prague in the summer transfer window, according to The Chronicle.
The 22-year-old winger has been on the books of Prague his entire career and has a contract until June 2017, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
The Chronicle claims that the Czech Republic international, who is currently playing at the European Under-21 Championships, will cost around £8 million.
Krejci is a left winger and scored 11 goals in 51 games in all competitions for Prague last season.
Good move?
Krejci is a highly rated young winger, but perhaps Newcastle would be better off spending £8m on a player who has already played in the Premier League.
For the Magpies to break into the top 10 of the Premier League next season, they need players who are already established and of proven quality.
Although youngster Krejci has potential, £8m for him sounds a bit too much.
