Benfica’s Andreas Samaris is reportedly on the radar of Newcastle United.

It has been reported that the Premier League club have made an offer to the Portuguese giants in order to secure the services of the Greece international midfielder.
According to Transfermarkt.co.uk, Samaris is out of contract at Benfica in the summer of 2019.
Good signing for Newcastle United
Samaris is a good midfielder who can be an asset for Newcastle in their quest to escape the dreaded drop to the Championship at the end of the season.
With the Greece international’s current contract running out at the end of the season, the 29-year-old is not going to cost much and will be a relatively cheap signing for Newcastle.

According to WhoScored, Samaris has played just 96 minutes in the league for Benfica so far this season.
Newcastle are 17th in the Premier League table at the moment with 21 points from 23 matches, just two points clear of third-from-bottom Cardiff City.
