Newcastle United had scouts watching Moses Simon at Nigeria’s latest match.

According to a report in HLN, Newcastle United are interested in signing Gent flyer Moses Simon.
The left-winger has netted five goals in 20 appearances in Belgium’s top tier this season, and he has caught the eye of Newcastle’s scouts.
The Magpies had a presence at Nigeria’s friendly match with Sweden in midweek, as they watched the wide-man.

Simon can play out wide or up-front and could offer Newcastle cover in a range of positions.
The 22-year-old has just over a year left on his Gent contract though, which could make him available in the summer transfer window.
Newcastle already look likely to stay in the Premier League, after a strong run of form, and appear to be planning to spend in the summer.

The Magpies beat Huddersfield Town at the weekend to move seven points clear of the drop zone.
Simon is said to know of Newcastle’s interest and is reportedly dreaming of a move to England’s top tier.
