Newcastle are hopeful of signing Forest’s Ben Osborn.
Ben Osborn scored an impressive winner for Nottingham Forest at the weekend to help them to their first win since December.
His free kick was perfectly timed, but could have a negative effect too, only serving to highlight his talent while the transfer window is open, with Newcastle United monitoring him.
The Guardian report Newcastle are hoping to take advantage of the ‘strife’ off the field at Forest at present, and believe owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi will be tempted to cash in.

The Kuwaiti has sold several of the best academy talents since buying the club in 2012, with the latest being Oliver Burke at the end of the last transfer window, while key player Henri Lansbury was sold to Aston Villa.
Osborn has been at Forest since he was a boy and has come through their academy into the first team, and is just getting started at 22-years-old.
