Newcastle United have signed four players this summer.
According to The Chronicle, Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez is “hopeful” of completing a new signing in the “coming days”.
Newcastle have signed four players this summer after Jacob Murphy and Javier Manquillo joined for a combined £16.5 million last week.
But Benitez, nor the Magpies fans, are satisfied as of yet and The Chronicle reports that the Spanish manager hopes to get another one over the line early this week.
The report goes on to state that he wants a goalkeeper, a midfielder and a striker.
The midfielder might well be Sam Clucas after The Sun reported at the weekend that Benitez had stepped up his efforts to sign the £4 million Hull City man.
Meanwhile, The Northern Echo claimed last week that Bordeaux hitman Diego Rolan wanted to join the St James’s Park club.
