Newcastle United have been linked with Feyenoord striker Nicolai Jorgensen in the January transfer window.

It has been reported by the British tabloid that Newcastle hope to complete a club-record £18 million deal for the Denmark international within 48 hours.
It has also been reported that the 27-year-old striker is keen on leaving Dutch giants Feyenoord and has been offered a £50,000-per-week salary by the Magpies.

Jorgensen is one of the better strikers in the Eredivisie in the Netherlands and is an important player for Feyenoord.
The striker won the Danish Superliga twice with FC Copenhagen in 2013 and 2016 and the Eredivisie with Feyenoord in 2017.

The Dane has scored seven goals and provided three assists in 13 league starts for Feyenoord so far this season, according to WhoScored.
Newcastle are struggling for survival in the Premier League at the moment and are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
