Jesus Gamez could be leaving Atletico Madrid this summer and Newcastle have been linked.

According to Spanish publication AS, Atletico Madrid defender Jesus Gamez could be set for a move to Newcastle United.
The Magpies have already added three new faces to their squad this summer, with Matz Sels, Matt Ritchie and Dwight Gayle all moving to St James’ Park.
Manager Rafa Benitez will now look to make additions to his defence, especially following Fabricio Coloccini’s return to Argentina with San Lorenzo.

And according to AS, Jesus Gamez could be the next arrival at the club this summer as his future at Atletico Madrid is uncertain.
Diego Simeone’s side have just completed the signing of Sime Vrsaljko from Sassuolo in Italy, which has pushed Gamez further down the pecking order.
The Croatian’s addition also leaves them needing to trim down a bloated squad, with as many as 12 players needing to be moved on at present.

Gamez is one of those that could go as he seeks more regular game time next season and a move to join Benitez at Newcastle is a possibility.
There is every chance that Benitez is looking at Gamez as a replacement for Daryl Janmaat, who has been linked with an exit this summer.
