Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez has left St. James’ Park, and that may provide some players with fresh chances.

Rafael Benitez had written off Lazaar’s and Aarons’s chances at Newcastle, but his departure has provided them both with a reprieve.
Lazaar is expected to return to Newcastle training next week, while Aarons is already back with the senior squad.
It may be that the pair are now given a chance to impress the new manager, after becoming rather forgotten about at Newcastle.
Benitez had told the pair two train with the under-23’s during his time in charge, and they were both loaned out to Sheffield Wednesday last term.

Aarons and Lazaar actually impressed at Hillsborough, but there are big question marks over whether they are capable of making the step up into Newcastle’s team.
Aarons was once a massively promising youngster, but injuries have really halted his progress.
Lazaar, meanwhile, has barely been used by the Magpies despite left-back being a problem position at times during Benitez’s spell in charge.
