The Benin striker has been linked with plenty of January moves this week.
Newcastle United are throwing their hat in the ring for the signature of Aston Villa striker Rudy Gestede – if Aleksandar Mitrovic leaves St James’ Park this winter.
The Serbian striker has been linked with a move to the Premier League, as he struggles to feature in the Newcastle United first-team this season.

According to the Guardian Newcastle will then take a look at the potential signature of Gestede from Aston Villa.
The Benin striker has been linked with plenty of different teams in recent weeks, with it looking like he could be on his way out of Villa.
Newcastle already have plenty of striking options, but if they lose Mitrovic then Rafa Benitez will want to add another name to the attacking department to cover for his departure.

Gestede has featured in 18 games for Villa this season, scoring four times but has not been a regular starter and is believed to be open to an exit.
This week he was linked by The Sun with a £7 million move to West Brom, so Newcastle would seemingly face a fight to get hold of the player in January.
