Newcastle United seem to be very close to snapping up Joelinton, with the Brazilian expected to move to St. James’ Park soon.

Newcastle have agreed an initial fee of £36 million with Hoffenheim for the striker, with only the finishing touches of the deal to be sorted out.
Joelinton wants a three-year deal, while Newcastle are eager to tie him down to a four-year contract, and that is holding up the transfer right now.
However, there is confidence from both sides that a transfer will be done soon.
Joelinton will become Newcastle’s most expensive signing of all time when he does put pen to paper, but he could be more costly than already thought.
It has been suggested that Newcastle may have inserted add-ons in the deal which could raise the fee to a staggering £48 million over the coming years.

At that price big things will be expected of Joelinton at St. James’ Park.
The 22-year-old forward has shown glimpses of promise, but he will surely have to improve on his current goalscoring record if he is to prove value for money, as he only got on the scoresheet seven times last season in the Bundesliga.
