Newcastle United just need to get a fee agreed with Chelsea to bring Kenedy to St. James’ Park.
According to the Chronicle, Kenedy’s wage demands are absolutely no problem for Newcastle United.
Newcastle had Kenedy on loan from Chelsea last season, and they are keen to tie him down to a permanent deal this summer.
Newcastle have reportedly told that a transfer is possible this summer by the London side, and the Magpies are hopeful of getting a deal over the line.
For their part, Newcastle are confident of being able to afford Kenedy’s wages – and the do not envision any problems over negotiating a contract.
Kenedy, for his part, is also keen to move back to Newcastle, as reported by the London Evening Standard.
However, Newcastle are fully aware that affording to buy Kenedy outright could be an issue.
Chelsea are said to want £30 million for the Brazilian, which would take up a sizeable chunk of Rafael Benitez’s transfer budget.
Newcastle are keen to have Kenedy in their squad for next season though, as he had such an impact at St. James’ Park last term.
Kenedy’s performances were a major reason why Newcastle were able to avoid the drop so comfortably, and if he was to arrive on a permanent deal, it would be a transfer which would be widely celebrated on Tyneside.
